Adopt a Staffordshire Bull Terrier

Staffordshire Bull Terrier Dog

Opal the Dog needs a home

Opal is a very sweet, 14 year old Staffordshire terrier. She wants nothing more than to laze away her golden years snoozing in front of the fireplace, eating snacks, taking short walks, and spinning her helicopter of a tail. One look at Opal, and you can tell she's lived a rough life, but her behaviors never reflect it and she seems very appreciative of your care. She's gentle, quiet, and loving. What Opal needs is a calm, easy going, comfortable environment to call home. Opal has experienced some sort of spinal trauma; as a result her legs don’t work quite as she expects them to, because of this she has to be in a home with little to no stairs, as she can’t climb more than 2 or 3. Opal is on a few inexpensive medications to help with the nerve pain she experiences and will need to remain on them for life. Her mobility has greatly improved since we first met her and a high quality dog food paired with a supplement regime will ensure she has continued success! She's had no issues with smaller dogs or the few children she’s met but she's not interested in playing and would rather not be bothered by high energy dogs. Other dogs in the home will need to respect her space. If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at http://caws.org/adoption-application
